Privacy Policy
Nova (“we”) builds an AI assistant for your Mac. This policy explains what we collect and why. Have your lawyer review this text before launch.
What the app sends
Only while you hold fn (or type in the notch), Nova sends your request, a downscaled screenshot of the display you're using and recent conversation context to our servers, which forward it to our AI provider (Anthropic) to produce an answer. Screenshots are not stored by us. Voice is converted to text on your Mac; Nova's spoken voice is generated on your Mac.
Conversation text is stored in your account so Nova can show your history and retrieve relevant context in future conversations. Memory embeddings are stored with your user ID and are never searched across another user's data. You can permanently delete all stored conversations and embeddings from Nova Settings.
What we store
Your account (name, email, hashed password), linked devices, billing records, support tickets and usage metadata (time, model, token counts, cost) — never the content of your screenshots.
Payments
Payments are processed by Razorpay. We never see or store your card or UPI details.
Your choices
You can remove linked Macs, export your invoices and delete your account at any time from your account page.
